We’re delighted to announce that our Investment Manager, Ed Caswell, recently presented local Northamptonshire charity, The Lowdown, with a donation of £1,000 from the Cave & Sons Fund; the fund is facilitated and managed by the Northamptonshire Community Foundation.

We’ve always felt that it’s extremely important to give back to our local community and we’re very happy to be supporting this charity. The Lowdown is a local charity that helps young adults within the local community who are in distress or experiencing crisis by offering free counselling support to them.

Ed Caswell commented on the company’s recent donation, saying “We are delighted to support The Lowdown. The value of the counselling and support services the group provides to the young people of Northamptonshire is almost immeasurable. The fact that they have been running for almost 30 years is testament to the dedication of their staff and volunteers.”

The Lowdown were extremely grateful for the donation which will go to supporting young people, aged 12-25, in the local community with mental health, sexual health and LGBTQ services. Resources and Marketing Manager of The Lowdown, Ellie White, said, “We are so pleased and grateful to be awarded £1,000 from Cave & Sons … it will make a huge difference towards changing, and sometimes saving, young people’s lives.”

Everyone at Cave & Sons and Fund Development Manager, Naomi Butters, really hope that donations like this will also spur other businesses to start thinking about using the Northamptonshire Community Foundation for charitable giving within our local community.
