The Pretty Muddy Charity Event – Northampton 2017

The Pretty Muddy event for Race for Life is unlike any other fundraising event; with obstacles, strong-minded women, and lots and lots of mud, this wonderful cause attracts many fearless ladies. This year was no exception, with five of the Cave & Sons team braving the course in aid of this very worthy cause.

With the weather on everyone’s side, Abington Park was awash with pink on Saturday morning as teams of women gathered to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Joining them were Cave & Sons very own Amy, Dawn, Laura, Lynsey and Zoe, known for the day as ‘The Cave Girls’. The event runs in various locations throughout the year, and our team were delighted to take part in Northampton’s Pretty Muddy this summer.

With a variety of obstacles and a 5k run to contend with (and did we mention the mud?) this is no walk in the park, despite the location! Teams of ladies take on an obstacle course of slides, tunnels, hurdles, and more, all in aid of raising money and awareness of Cancer. All women can take part and help to beat cancer.

Cave & Sons were proud to see The Cave Girls start and finish Pretty Muddy as a team – even if the team that came out was decidedly more grubby than the one that went in! With lots of money raised and smiles all round, the day was a huge success and is sure to be done again next year. With such great work done every day by Cancer Research UK, Cave & Sons were glad to be able to do our little bit to help on a beautiful day in Northampton.
